Daily Silver News: April 29 – Silver Facing More Fluctuations

Silver price keeps moving sideways as markets await economic data, tariff developments.

The silver futures contract lost 0.02% on Monday, April 28, as it fluctuated following last Wednesday’s advance. Recently, silver has been relatively weaker than gold. In early april, it rebounded from a new local low of $27.55. On March 28, silver reached the highest since 2012.

Today, silver is advancing and extending a consolidation, as we can see on the daily chart (the chart includes today’s intraday data):

The silver price is 0.7% higher, as it is trading along the $33.20 level. What about the other precious metals? Gold is 0.8% lower, platinum is 0.1% higher and palladium is 0.4% lower. So, the main precious metals’ prices are mixed this morning.

Today, we will get the JOLTS Job Openings and CB Consumer Confidence releases at 10:00 a.m., among others.
